Description
The House of Clicquot, founded in 1772, became famous thanks to Barbe Nicole Clicquot, née Ponsardin, who took over the business at the age of 27 after the death of her husband. She led the champagne house to international success with the motto "One quality - the best", which still guides the company today. Veuve Clicquot's vineyards ensure consistently high quality. The distinctive style of Veuve Clicquot champagnes is marked by a dominance of the Pinot Noir grape variety, which gives them strength, body and a unique character.
Tasting
Eye: The colour of this champagne is a brilliant golden yellow, with fine, persistent bubbles that form a delicate mousse. This visual promises a refined and festive experience.
Nose: This champagne reveals complex, generous aromas. Initially, fresh red fruit predominates, with notes of raspberries, wild strawberries, cherries and blackberries. Gradually, hints of dried fruit and Viennese sweets appear, evoking almonds, apricots and yeast cakes. This fruity harmony dominates the overall impression.
Palate: the balance of this champagne makes it an elegant and racy rosé, true to the great tradition of Champagne Veuve Clicquot Rosé. Young and vibrant, it impresses with its delicious volatility, offering a memorable taste experience.
