Description
Rumo Incerto Reserva, a journey through the old vineyards of Alentejo gives birth to this unique Field Blend, where part is aged in French oak barrels and the other part is fermented and aged in amphorae. This Rumo Incerto combines the certainty of a serious, well-crafted wine with the wild nature of the Brettanomyces Dekkera yeast, showing that a flaw can become a virtue.
Viticulture: Made from grapes sourced from old Alentejo vines, carefully tended to produce quality wines. Grown on poor granite and rocky, infertile schist soils, where yields are low and quality is the priority. Our grapes are also cultivated under a certified integrated production regime.
Winemaking: Grapes were hand-harvested and manually selected. After sorting and crushing, they were transferred by gravity. The tank was filled using gravity flow. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations occurred spontaneously. One part was fermented and aged in old Alentejo amphorae, and the rest in French oak barrels. Post-fermentation maceration lasted 2 months.
