Description

The typical Bairradine soil is "barro" (clay) an argilleous soil with higher or lower limestone content, that is deep, fertile, and has a high-water retention capacity.

Due to its proximity to the sea, the climate is typically Atlantic, with mild and rainy winters, a hot but slightly windy summer. Surrounded by this atmosphere and located in Águeda, in the north of the Bairrada Region, Quinta d'Aguieira is a boutique winery dedicated to the creation of singular wines, designed with time.

Eye: Intense red colour with purple highlights, indicating depth and concentration of colour.

Nose: Rich aromas of black fruits such as blackberry and cherry, accompanied by spicy and woody notes, with subtle hints of chocolate and tobacco.

Palate: Velvety, balanced structure, with flavours of black fruit, spice and vanilla. The tannins are well integrated, offering a smooth texture and a long, elegant finish.

Food and wine pairings: Pairs perfectly with grilled red meats, dishes in sauce, or mature cheeses. Also delicious with Mediterranean dishes or grilled meats.
