Description
Located in Léognan, the capital of the Graves region, the Domaine de Chevalier is of very ancient origin. It is represented in 1783 on the map of Pierre de Belleyme, the engineer geographer of Louis XVI.
In 1983, the property was acquired by the Bernard family, the leading French brandy producers and major Bordeaux wine merchants. Since then, it has been managed by Olivier Bernard and his team. Under his aegis, the spirit of balance and the quest for perfection that has marked the production of this excellent wine for 140 years is perpetuated.
Domaine de Chevalier red, the flagship of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, belongs to the elite of the Grands Crus Classés of Bordeaux.

Tasting
Eye : Intense dark ruby-mauve colour, black in the middle. Brilliant and clear.
Nose : Clean, fresh, with a concentrated and energetic cocktail of red and black fruits in a balsamic atmosphere reminiscent of the pine forest. Peppery spices and fresh notes of venison are present. A mineral complexity joins this complete bouquet.
Palate : The attack is ample with a soft, silky and fruity texture. The sensation of a dense tannic structure is immediate. The structure is tight but refined and supple. Great tannins coated with fruity flesh give this wine a soft yet firm texture. Very affordable on the surface, this large-scale wine needs time to develop its underlying great potential.
Balance, freshness, elegance, refinement, authenticity and concentration define it perfectly.
