Description
Domaine Haut Truchon became Château Bouscaut in the 17th century. It adopted this name in 1876 and underwent major renovations in 1925. In 1953, it was classified as a Graves Cru Classé. Fires damaged the château in 1961 and 1962, but it was rebuilt identically. In 1968, it was acquired by a group of American investors. In 1979, Lucien and Marie-Jeanne Lurton became the owners. Since 1992, Sophie Lurton has been running the estate with her husband, Laurent Cogombles, and is constantly improving the quality of the wines. In 2018, the estate became HVE 3 certified and plans to switch to organic farming in 2023.
