Description
The Castello di Querceto winery traces its Lombard roots back to the year 1000 and still retains its medieval appearance today. Owned by the François family since 1897, the Castello is located in the heart of the green hills near Greve in Chianti. It covers 190 hectares, 90 of which are given over to vineyards and 10 to olive groves.
Red grape varieties include Sangiovese, Canaiolo Nero, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Colorino, Merlot, Mammolo, Ciliegiolo and Malvasia Nera. The traditional white varieties, Malvasia del Chianti and Trebbiano Toscano, complete the range.
