Description
Christian and Francisca Obrecht, who have been married since 1998, are the fifth generation of winegrowers in Jenin. Their partnership began as a student flat-share and has developed into a harmonious collaboration: Francisca cultivates the vines, while Christian vinifies the juice. Christian, who was destined to take over the family estate, studied oenology and travelled to perfect his knowledge. He met Francisca at the University of Wädenswil. Originally from Lucerne, Francisca trained in agriculture and biotechnology, and gradually became involved in the family vineyard. In 2006, they took over the Sonnen winery. Together, they form a creative and daring duo, combining intuition and experience to innovate in viticulture.
Tasting
Silently, a crisp, fresh Blanc de Noir is transformed in the bottle into a sophisticated, sparkling wine using a traditional monastic recipe.
Joyous and lively, typical in its fruit and colour.
The base of this elegant sparkling wine is made from the finest Pinot Noir grapes. These are harvested around 14 days before the main harvest and pressed directly. The salmon-pink juice is fermented in the bottle using traditional methods, as in Champagne.
Ageing: 1-4 years
Serving temperature: 4°C
