Description
Motivated by his enthusiasm for good wine, Andrea Davaz founded Salis AG with two friends in 1994. For more than 25 years they have been passionately involved in the subject of wine and have sought out the best wines from all over the world for their customers.
Over the years, they have been able to hire more than 25 highly qualified employees who look after their ever-expanding range in Landquart and in the Maienfeld wine shop. They source the grapes for their own wines from more than 60 winemakers in Fläsch, Maienfeld, Jenins, Malans, Zizers and Trimmis.
On more than 50 hectares, the Graubünden grapes grow, so their von Salis wine is something very special. In addition, they cultivate about two hectares of vines in the Bündner Herrschaft themselves.
Since regionality, but also nature is important to them, they pay special attention to their ecological responsibility in all processes and produce all their wines without exception according to the most modern ecological standards.
Tasting
Nose : Multilayered and intensely fruity with a charming nose, fruity notes of strawberries, raspberries and some plums complemented by a floral spice.
Palate : Wonderfully fruity with a tasty acidity structure. Elegantly fluid and supple through to the balanced finish.
Food and wine pairing : Refined dishes from traditional Graubünden cuisine such as capuns, maluns and bizochels. But also classic meat dishes based on beef and lamb or a vegan slice. It is also a good companion to a Bündner Plättli with mountain cheese and salsiz.
