Description
From the vineyards of Bouzy, the initial legacy of founder Philippe Clicquot, subsequent generations, notably Madame Clicquot, have expanded the Veuve Clicquot estate with determination, intuition and expertise, shaping one of the most prestigious houses in Champagne.
Veuve Clicquot's cellars extend over 393 hectares of land owned by the house, providing exceptional grapes. Located in the best wine-growing regions of Champagne, they include 12 of the 17 Grands Crus and 18 of the 44 Premiers Crus. These vineyards benefit from an exceptional average grading of almost 96%, testifying to the unique quality of the terroir and the grapes produced.
The vines are strategically planted on hillsides, favouring well-drained soils and maximum exposure to the sun, key elements in the production of grapes of remarkable quality.
