Description
Flaminio is the interpretation of the Vallone family and the indigenous vineyards. The line is named after the historic Flaminio vineyards from which they originate, which are located on an ancient Messapian settlement on the outskirts of San Pietro Vernotico.
It is a true tradition in constant evolution; intense colours and fruity aromas.
A vine that is as generous as it is sloppy at a young age due to its productive exuberance. As it ages, the overabundance of production suddenly disappears to give way to grapes capable of expressing an olfactory complexity with notes of leather and Mediterranean maquis.
Tasting
Eye: A very intense, brilliant ruby-red colour with violet highlights.
Nose: intoxicatingly fruity and spicy, with fine vegetal notes.
Palate: the taste is highly structured, powerful and flavoursome, with a smooth start and articulate succession, soft, enveloping tannins characterise the long, spicy finish.
