Impostino - Bio 2018

Tenuta L'Impostino, a 52-hectare Tuscan wine estate, combines vineyards, woods and olive groves. Patrizia Chiari, inspired by her grandfather and local tradition, transformed the estate into a flourishing vineyard. The historical heritage of Imposto and Impostino, medieval resting places between Siena and Grosseto, has been carefully restored by the current owners.

Eye: A dense, intense ruby colour.

Nose: Striking for the intensity of its own aroma, rich in notes dominated by plum, eucalyptus, tobacco and earthy aromas.

Palate: Warm, smooth, full-bodied and well-balanced, with freshness and tannins balancing the alcohol content. The finish is long and very satisfying.

Food and wine pairings: A very versatile wine, it is an elegant accompaniment to strong cold meats and mature cheeses, and spicy starters such as pappardella with venison or carbonara, which enhance its soft, enveloping notes. It is a natural accompaniment to meat dishes, which it undoubtedly prefers to roast, and goes perfectly with hunter-style rabbit, grilled chicken and lamb chops.
