Description
The Charrère family, originally from France, moved to the Aosta Valley in Italy in the mid-1700s, where they became farmers and millers. In 1955, they planted their first vineyards and, in 1989, expanded the estate and built the Les Crêtes winery. The site was restored in 2016 to become an agri-tourism destination. Today, Les Crêtes is the largest privately-owned winegrowing estate in the valley, with 35 hectares of vines, cultivating indigenous and traditional grape varieties. The vineyards, spread over six communes, follow strict agronomic management to protect the terroir and comply with environmental regulations.
