Description
DUORUM expresses the terroir of the Douro's fantastic wine region. A Latin word meaning “of two”, it represents a project of two winemakers, from two regions, using grapes from two exceptional and protected terroirs — Cima Corgo and Douro Superior — grown at two different altitudes.
Vinification
The grapes come from vineyards, most of which are very old (over 50 years, Field Blend). Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are carefully sorted and destemmed. A cold pre-fermentation maceration is carried out in stainless steel vats with robotic punch-down. The must is then transferred to temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks (25–28ºC) to complete alcoholic fermentation. During fermentation, traditional pump-overs and délestage are performed, aiming for a rigorously selective extraction of only the desired components. Fermentation ends with a post-fermentation maceration, with skins remaining in contact with the must for up to 18 days.

Tasting
Appearance: Deep, dense red color.
Nose: Intense, concentrated, and complex aroma, dominated by ripe black fruits such as blackberry, blackcurrant, and plum, along with floral violet notes and exotic wood aromas.
Palate: Its complexity, which tends to increase with time, derives from the aromas developed during barrel aging. Present acidity, firm but ripe tannins, well integrated into the body and volume. All these characteristics, combined with a lingering retronasal aroma, create a full, intense wine with a long and persistent finish.
