Description
DUORUM expresses the unique terroir of the Douro’s extraordinary wine region. A Latin word meaning “of two”, it represents a project of two winemakers, from two regions, using grapes from two exceptional and protected terroirs — Cima Corgo and Douro Superior — grown at two different altitudes.
Vinification: After being carefully selected upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are destemmed, crushed, and transferred to stainless steel presses equipped with robotic crushing systems. At this stage, a cold pre-fermentation maceration takes place. Fermentation then occurs in stainless steel vats at a controlled maximum temperature of 28ºC.
Tasting
Appearance: Intense ruby color with violet reflections.
Nose: Intense, fresh, and complex aroma. Ripe fruits such as black plum and blackcurrant dominate, with delicate floral notes of violet — typical of Touriga Nacional — and tertiary aromas from barrel aging.
Palate: Firm, ripe, and well-integrated tannins with balanced acidity. Long, elegant, and well-defined finish, reflecting both the Duorum style and the character of the region.
