Donnafugata was founded in Sicily by a family that, thanks to its passion, has been able to innovate the style and perception of Sicilian wine throughout the world.Giacomo Rallo , the fourth generation of a family with over 170 years of experience in quality wine, founded Donnafugata in 1983 with his wife Gabriella , a pioneer in Sicilian wine making. Today, their children José and Antonio run the company and a team of people focused on excellence.

Artistic label: "...of loves and ladies, knights and arms...". Could it be Angelica from Orlando Furioso fleeing on the horse depicted on the label? Donnafugata has many "women on the run"; each of them has a past of history and tradition but, for sure, a future of sweetness and seduction.

Eye: an intense ruby red colour.

Nose: fragrant bouquet of red fruits (plum and black cherry) combined with elegant spicy notes (cinnamon and nutmeg) and delicate tobacco notes.

Mouth: enveloping with soft tannins and excellent persistence. A red with international flavours and a good balance between structure and pleasure.

Food pairing: Perfect with a charcuterie board, meatballs in tomato sauce, grilled meat and chops.

Serving temperature: 16 - 18°C
