L'Esprit de Genève 2022

Created for the 2004 vintage, L'Esprit de Genève is a top-of-the-range blended red wine that is an ambassador for the canton's wines. It embodies the values of Geneva: openness, humanism, diversity and quality. The wine comes from several estates, including Château des Bois, which plays a key role in the project, maturing the wine exclusively in oak barrels. Located in Satigny, Château des Bois is one of Geneva's leading family estates, renowned for the rigour of its work and the finesse of its wines.
The cuvée is based on the complementary blend of Gamay (fruity and spicy), Gamaret (tannic structure), Garanoir (roundness) and Cabernet Sauvignon (freshness and complexity). A rigorous charter and a final tasting guarantee its quality.

To the eye: A deep ruby colour with purplish tints, brilliant and intense.

On the nose: Aromas of ripe red fruit and sweet spices, with a hint of wood and leather.

On the palate: Beautiful structure with tight, silky tannins, a balance between freshness and roundness, and a long, harmonious finish.

Food pairing: Perfect with grilled entrecote steak, game stew or mature cheese.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C.
