Description
The Allegrini family has been protagonists in the history of Fumane and Valpolicella Classica since the sixteenth century, and has passed on the culture of vines and wine ever since.
The corporate heritage of Giovanni Allegrini, architect of the renaissance of Valpolicella, has been passed on to the next generation. Today, Franco's heirs are at the head of the company: Francesco, Giovanni and Matteo and Silvia, Walter's heir.
Tasting
Nose: The controlled drying of the harvested grapes over a period of around a hundred days brings out a great aromatic intensity of black bourre and undergrowth, as well as hints of spice and tobacco.
Palate: The impact on the palate is powerful and vigorous, with the wine gradually fading on the acidic and savoury thrust, lengthening delicately and finishing dry and clean.
Food and wine pairings: Traditionally accompanies game dishes, grilled meats, braised meats and mature cheeses. Thanks to the drying notes of the grape, Amarone can also be served with original and fascinating dishes with sweet and sour flavours, making it perfectly compatible with the creations of Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine.
