Born as a fulfilment of the desire of Sogrape's president, Fernando Guedes, long in love with the rare beauty of the old steep vineyards of Quinta do Caedo, with its century-old walls overlooking the river that flows at the bottom of the valley, this Legado wine represents "the testimony of knowledge and know-how" that Fernando Guedes received from his father, founder of the company in 1942, and which he now intends "to pass on to the future generations of the family.

Legado is the result of the desire to simultaneously honour the roots of Sogrape Vinhos, which was born in the shadow of the Douro's century-old vineyards, and to pass on to future generations, in a symbolic way, the culture and values that have enabled the company to gain leadership status and a global vision of the market..

Deep ruby in colour.

Intense, complex aroma, with lively red fruits, hints of resin and mint, some spice such as liquorice, pepper and ginger, stony, with subtle, very well integrated wood.

Full-bodied, with firm tannins, bright acidity, clear red fruit notes, peppery spice and an elegant, harmonious finish.
