Quinta dos Carvalhais Single Harvest is a rich and elegant Dão red wine of exceptional quality. Heir to an ancient wisdom, Quinta dos Carvalhais allies experience with innovation to create very elegant wines, with delicately intense flavours, that reflect the unique personality of the region.

Appearance : An intense red ruby colour.

Aroma : a notes of wild and black fruit, aromas of woodland fruits and resin, and a
menthol finish that imparts a wonderful freshness to its bouquet. There are well-integrated notes of the wood in which the wine aged.

Palate : soft, elegant and balanced. It has a crisp acidity and understated
tannins that give it both personality and strength. Well-balanced fruit and a fresh menthol element again reveal themselves in a very harmonious finish, that is both long and persistent. This wine is a good example of a pure Dão.

Serve : Serve at between 16ºC-18ºC. This wine should be decanted after 4-5 years of age.

Food Pairings : This is a gastronomic wine, perfect for meal times. This wine pairs wonderfully with octopus "à lagareiro", as well as oven-roasted pork shoulder.
