Palma - Gin Bio

Majorca is emerging as a hub for gin, capitalizing on the Mediterranean ambiance, enthusiasm for Spanish gin, European business acumen, and an influx of tourists and immigrants. The Palma gin, presented in a bottle reflecting Mediterranean colors, is crafted from local and 100% organic ingredients. Majorcan juniper berries are complemented by citrus peels from the island's plantations, almond blossom flowers, orange leaves, tomato stems, lavender, and various botanical extracts including coriander, iris root, cassia, cardamom, angelica root, licorice root, lime peels, and rhubarb root. Produced by the Mallorca distillery in the capital, Palma, this organic gin has been in production since 2018. The small exhibition distillery, featuring a 500-liter copper still, operates under the direction of James Gibbons and is located in a sprawling industrial area on the outskirts of the city, catering to curious tourists.

The unique essence of this gin comes from Majorcan juniper berries, capturing the subtle essence of the Mediterranean Sea. Almond blossom, harvested once a year before spring, mingles with orange leaves and lavender, creating a floral fragrance and delicate sweetness. These unique botanicals, combined with the base ingredients, enrich the depth of flavour layered in our gin, delivering a rounded taste that pays homage to the authenticity of the island of Mallorca.
