Description
Ocho Dos Dos vineyard lies in what Jancis Robinson, MW, dubbed the "Golden Diamond" of Ribera del Duero. This part of the region is famously known for its complex soils and climate, suitable for producing high-quality grapes that winemakers can turn into highly concentrated and structured wines.
The estate lies at 822 m, one of the highest altitudes in the designation, exposed to a harsh continental climate that naturally produces low yields. It is planted exclusively with Tinta Fina that has small berries producing wines with a high concentration of flavours and structure.
Tasting
Bright red colour, tinged with violet. Currant and blackberry aromas predominate, with very elegant freshness.
The mouthfeel is balanced, with soft tannins and fruity aromas. A long, generous aftertaste, with elegant nuances deriving from the oak ageing.
This is a Ribera wine with character, which is bound to make an impression on the consumer.
