Description

Founded in 1820, the Busnel distillery in Cormeilles (Normandy) is one of the most iconic producers of Calvados within the AOC Pays d’Auge. Known for its traditional double distillation method and use of local cider apples, Busnel crafts refined and expressive spirits.

 

The “Vieux Manoir Montambert – Grande Réserve” is a high-quality bottling that showcases smoothness, richness, and aromatic complexity. It embodies the classic character of fine Calvados from the Pays d’Auge region.

Tasting

Appearance: Pale amber with golden highlights. Crystal-clear.

Nose: Notes of baked apple, vanilla, light oak, and hints of almond.

Palate: Soft attack, rich and persistent on the palate, with a mellow finish showing caramel and sweet spices.

Food Pairing: Best enjoyed as a digestif, or with tarte Tatin, aged Livarot cheese or seared foie gras.

Serving Temperature: Serve between 16–18°C in a tulip glass.
