Description
North of Nuits-Saint-Georges, this village is the jewel of the Côte de Nuits. The Gauls of the village of Vaona were recruited to serve 20 years in the troops of the emperor Caesar. He rewarded them by giving them vineyards, which were called "Romanée" by the following generations.
Tasting
"Beautiful deep, bright red colour. The wines offer great aromatic complexity. The nose reveals notes of violet, morello cherry, strawberry, mixed with touches of coffee, chocolate and even truffle. The palate confirms the delicacy of Pinot Noir with refined aromas supported by silky tannins. The finish is long and elegant".
