The history of Licóbidos “Mariquinhas” is above all a family and local history. Our roots take us back to the man who started it all, Abílio Ferreira de Carvalho, who created the first ginjinha recipe in a tavern located in the small and picturesque village of Sanguinhal, in the municipality of Bombarral.

This tavern and grocery store is still open, two centuries later. This recipe also remains intact.

The company, as we know it today, was founded in 1992.

Now the fourth generation, perpetuating the tradition of making a good cherry liqueur, in an artisanal and 100% natural way, Ginja Liqueur is synonymous with Mariquinhas.

Artisanal liqueur made from duly selected fresh cherries (prunus cerasus) and very long macerations, which give this liqueur a deep and velvety aroma.
