Merlot de Tino 2021

The Clos des Augustins, a 55 hectare estate, is located 20 km north of Montpellier, in the Pic Saint Loup region, one of the most prestigious in the northern Languedoc. Indeed, the story goes back to the beginning of the century. The two great-grandfathers, both named Augustin, worked the vines on their 22 hectares of land. In 1998 Roger and André MEZY decided to uproot and replant a dozen hectares of vines. Following an agricultural training, Frédéric MEZY took over the reins of the estate in 2003. 

Since 2007 we have been working with Biodynamic methods and in 2011 the Clos obtained the organic label. The new cellar and winery built in 2013 and 2018 are located at the entrance to Saint Mathieu de Trèviers.

Beautiful colour, the fruit is well defined with a juicy and sincere expression of ripeness. The palate is full-bodied with well-coated tannins. The whole is quite drinkable.
