Description

Château du Tertre is a thousand year old property whose 52 hectare vineyard has remained unchanged since 1855. It was in the 19th century that the wines of Château du Tertre gained worldwide renown, notably thanks to the 1855 classification which made Château du Tertre a Margaux Grand Cru Classé.

In 1997, Eric Albada Jelgersma, a Dutch businessman, bought the estate and made major investments to restructure the estate and give Château du Tertre back its character and nobility.

In March 2021, the Helfrich family took over to write a new page in the history of Château du Tertre. A change in the continuity of the search for excellence, a tradition in motion.

Tasting

The Cabernet Sauvignon is planted in the majority and brings structure and concentration.

Renowned for its roundness and suppleness, Merlot offers all its silkiness to the final blend.

The Cabernet Franc is distinguished by its rich bouquet of spicy notes.

Finally, the Petit Verdot, which matures late, completes this aromatic palette.

This is how the Grand Vin de Château du Tertre is born, reflecting all the soul of its exceptional terroir...
