Description

The racy elegance of a mineral, precise Chardonnay whose natural balance is a harmonious model of the best Grand Cru parcels in the Côte des Blancs: Cramant for minerality, Chouilly and Oiry for finesse, and Mesnil-sur-Oger for structure and longevity.

Tasting

Eye: A crystalline pale gold colour with delicate reflections marked by shades of yellow and green. The effervescence is persistent, very intense, luminous and sparkling.

Nose: The first expression is marked by a floral elegance with fine hazelnut and chestnut flavours. With a racy aromatic profile of chalky character, balanced and crystalline (raw butter and custard). An irresistible charm on aeration, enveloped by a carefully complicit ageing towards the terroir & vintage duo.

Palate: A creamy, tactile sensation of chiselled finesse. A refreshing balance of natural flavours (marzipan, flaky brioche, white fruit and white pepper). A powerful, slender wine of majestic character, with an incredibly long, lingering finish (cardamom, fresh mango, caviar lemon).

Wine and food pairing: The unique dimension of a great Blanc de Blancs, pure and intense, with a straightforwardness perfectly matched by its low dosage. Its potential and balance express a remarkable finesse worthy of the finest food matches: whole Corrèze veal sweetbreads in a casserole, abalone from Brittany and samphire.
