Rola - Sousão 2020

Located in the north-east of Portugal, in the Douro river basin. It covers a total area of approximately 250,000 hectares, divided into three naturally distinct sub-regions: Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo and Douro Superior. It is characterised by slopes of schistous soil and a Mediterranean climate, with very cold winters and very hot, dry summers. These conditions are very favourable for the full ripening of the grapes and, consequently, for the production of wines of excellent quality.

It is in this unique terroir that the Douro Wines vineyards are located. le-stranded trellises and only one grape variety on each plot.

The ROLA VINHA DAS MARIAS Douro Red is very aromatic and elegant on the nose. The fruit used to make this wine is fully expressed despite its long maturation in wood. Notes of ripe fruit, black plum, spices and wood. The balance between sweetness and body with a long and persistent finish makes this ROLA a very elegant wine.
