VINILOURENÇO's history spans two generations. In the 1980s, Horácio Augusto Lourenço planted the first vines, laying the foundations for his dream. His son, Jorge Miguel Graça Lourenço, then took over, modernising and developing the business.

Nestled in Poço do Canto, in the Douro Superior, VINILOURENÇO is the fruit of an ancestral passion for the land. Since the 1980s, the Lourenço family has acquired several properties in the region, following Horácio's vision of an ideal triangle for his vineyards.

In the early 2000s, Jorge, aged just 18, set about modernising the existing vineyards, selecting new grape varieties and structuring the business. Over the years, thanks to the quality and originality of its wines, VINILOURENÇO has grown exponentially, bringing the Douro's ancient grape varieties to the fore.

Today, with 45 hectares of vineyards in the counties of Meda and Vila Nova de Foz Côa, VINILOURENÇO embodies excellence in the art of winemaking. Its commitment to tradition and quality has earned it worldwide recognition, making its wines ambassadors for the history and terroir of the Douro Superior region.
