When Caesar and the Romans arrived in Geneva in 58 BC, the vine was already cultivated there.
The importance of this vineyard is confirmed by the laws of King Gondebaud in the 5th century who punished the grape thief by death!
Old document which is in the archives of the State of Geneva is about the donation of the Countess Eldegarde of its vineyards of Peissy to the Church in 912 (Peissy, small village where is the Family Leyvraz today.) C It is thus a history two millennia that tells this piece of land where the grandfather of Mr. Leyvraz founded the field of Bossons in 1905, he who was already grandson of vigneron.
Today the Domaine des Bossons goes to know his 4th generation with the arrival of Mrs. Laure Leyvraz, daughter of Mr. Eric Leyvraz.
