In July 2010, champagne bottles unique in the world, including 47 of Veuve Clicquot champagne, were found in wrecks off the Finnish Åland Islands at the mouth of the Baltic Sea. Despite nearly two centuries spent at the bottom of the sea, their content is extremely well preserved.
